The client a North Yorkshire-based hair accessories retailer needed a Shopify store built from scratch to sell a curated range of premium brands (KKNEKKI byEloise London Balmain 6FiftyTwo Ibiza Boutique Amber Vittoria and Last True Angel) alongside their own hand-sewn silk scrunchie line made in collaboration with British artisan Jo of Mille Saisons. The brief required separate brand collections and dedicated about pages for each partner a bundle product structure an editorial blog and a mobile-first shopping experience that matched the luxury positioning of the brands stocked.

02 — Design

Crafting the visual language

The visual direction had to feel premium without being cold — warm editorial and brand-forward. The homepage was designed as a showcase: a full-bleed hero carousel cycling through brand imagery followed by featured products a brand collection tile grid a Balmain spotlight section and a bundle section. Each brand was given its own collection landing page and a dedicated about page telling its story. The client's own MyHairThing silk scrunchies were given a distinct editorial treatment — a craft-focused section with separate about and shop pages — to distinguish them from the curated third-party brands.
